Edward Piguet

The main feature of the Edward Piguet line is its rectangular case and high-quality finish. The model presented here features one of the most prestigious horological complications: the tourbillon. This mechanism, invented by Abraham-Louis Breguet in 1795, aims to improve the precision of the watch by compensating for the effects of gravity on the escapement, the watch's regulator. The tourbillon consists of a rotating cage that performs a complete rotation on itself in one minute, exposing the escapement to a variety of positions, thus reducing the running errors due to gravity in different orientations.
