Founded in 1874 by Georges-Édouard Piaget in the Swiss Jura, Piaget initially focused on creating exceptional mechanical movements, quietly establishing a reputation for precision. It wasn't until 1943 that Piaget registered its trademark, marking a new era by showcasing its name on luxurious, ultra-thin watches. The brand gained iconic status in the 1960s and '70s, synonymous with opulence and favored by celebrities like Andy Warhol and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

Since its foundation in 1874, Piaget has been cultivating a spirit of luxury while emphasising its creativity, attention to detail and fully integrated watchmaking and jewellery expertise. Originally specialised in the design and production of watch movements, the Manufacture expanded the scope of its expertise in the 1960s with the launch of astonishing jewellery watches, followed by innovative jewellery collections. Piaget manufactures its luxury watches and jewellery in La Côte-aux-Fées and Plan-les-Ouates, Switzerland.
